degrees in Vietnam before being awarded an AusAID scholarship to
then moved to the World Bank funded Higher Education Project
training needs analysis and integrating it into capacity building
activities. Later she joined the Swedish funded Vietnam Injury
Prevention and Safe Community program where she developed
national policies and managed partnership brokering.

After completing her studies in Australia, Lan worked for World
Vision as the Capacity Building National Coordinator. After two
years in this role Lan rejoined the World Bank to manage capacity
building activities for Vietnamese Universities and other training
organisations. Her role included assisting Universities to utilize
modern education programs, including blended learning, to upgrade
the quality of tertiary teaching in Vietnam. She currently holds a
Short Term Consultant appointment at the World Bank in Hanoi.

Lan has a B. English from the Vietnam Open University, a B.Soc
from Hanoi University and a M.Ed from Monash University. She has
also received specialist training in blended learning program design
from the World Bank.
